Description: The grapes for the Catena wines are sourced from several vineyard sites and then blended together in the final product. Each vineyard site enjoys its own soil variations and microclimates. Implementing the age-old "art of assemblage," Nicolas found that by blending different lots of the same varietal, he could create a more intense and complex wine. The aromatic structure of this malbec is full of ripe dark fruits, floral notes of violets and lavender, and touches of vanilla and spice. The flavor starts with a blast of sweet black cherries which has a smooth and refined feel. There layers of chocolate and spicy black pepper which intermingle seemlessly. It finishes with a luscious and smooth layer of creamy chocolate that is grounded by fine and lingering tannins. This is a great example of the Malbec varietal, sourced from the best Malbec-growing region of Argentina, and created by the leading guru of all Argentinian wines; we promise that you can't go wrong with this one!
