Las Rocas Viñas Viejas is a perfect example of a simple wine. From its label, to its pure rich fruit flavor, and down to its price. The Viñas Viejas (Spanish for Old Vines) is very thick, dense, and filled with lots of bold fruit flavors. On first sip, you are attacked with ripe red fruit, blackberries and peppery spice. It is medium-bodied with dusty tannins. Excellent purity and a nice creamy finish. This wine would pair great with grilled meats or pasta dishes,and especially a sausage and pepperoni pizza smothered with fresh basil. |
